Fixes
If an update can't be downloaded or installed, the update card now says so, with Try again and Download from website buttons. Before, it quietly disappeared.Update problems are now written to a log file, so they can be tracked down.

When a new version is available, a small card in the bottom-right corner now shows it downloading, with a percentage. Before, the download happened silently in the background.Once it's ready, click Restart now to update straight away, or Later to install it the next time you quit.If you're in the middle of a render, the card waits and asks you to restart after the render has finished.

The **⚙ Settings** button now closes its menu when you click it again (it used to reopen it).**Vibes:** click the highlighted vibe again to turn it off. Switching from one vibe to another now replaces the first vibe's effects instead of stacking them. Effects you set yourself are kept.**Hydra:** if your computer can't run the visual generator (it needs WebGL graphics support, which some virtual machines and very old graphics drivers don't have), the preview now says so, and Bake no longer adds an empty clip to your clip pool.
Daily active count
The app now sends an anonymous "this app was used today" count once a day, so we know how many people use Music Video Wizard, with and without an account. It uses its own random ID and contains only the day, the app version, your operating system and whether you're signed in. No account details, files or IP address are stored with it.**It's on by default.** You can turn it off any time in **Settings → Privacy → Count me as an active user**.
Other changes
The Receipts window labels balance corrections as **Adjustment**.

New, current AI models: **Quick** (MiniMax H3 Max Turbo), **Standard** (Kling 2.6 Pro), **Cinematic** (Kling 3.0 Pro) and **Premium** (Google Gemini Omni Flash). Standard, Cinematic and Premium make 1080p clips.Every model now offers both 5- and 10-second clips.New token prices: Quick 10 / 20, Standard 18 / 35, Cinematic 28 / 56, Premium 40 / 80 tokens (5 s / 10 s).The Generate window always shows the current price, and you're never charged more than the price it shows.Earlier versions of the app need this update to generate AI clips.
Accounts
**Forgot password?** in the sign-in window emails you a link to choose a new password.New accounts confirm their email address. If you try to sign in before confirming, the sign-in window offers **Resend confirmation email**.The **Continue with Google** button has been removed.

Every token purchase, AI clip, refund and reversal now gets a numbered receipt. Open them from your account button → **🧾 Receipts…**, and save any of them as a PDF.When you buy tokens, the receipt is saved automatically as a PDF in **Documents/Music Video Wizard/Receipts**, and a green bar offers **Show in Folder**.
Rendering
FFmpeg is now included in the Mac and Windows installers. In 1.0.38, rendering failed with "FFmpeg not found" unless FFmpeg was already installed on the computer.Renders with more than 40 clips, with or without effects, no longer fail on Windows.The Apple VideoToolbox setting is no longer shown on Windows, where it doesn't apply.
Hydra
The **Generate** mode is now called **Digital**, next to **Analog** and **Clip FX**.
Other changes

Drag a clip anywhere on the timeline. When you drop it, it trims or removes whatever it lands on, on either row. Clips it passes over are left alone.Drag a clip's edge to make it longer. It slides under its neighbours while you drag, and they are trimmed when you let go.Deleting a clip leaves a gap instead of shifting everything after it.While you drag, clips snap to beat markers and to the edges of other clips. Hold Shift to turn snapping off.The playhead snaps to beat markers when you click or drag near one. Hold Shift to place it freely.Paste now goes on whichever side of the clip under the playhead is closer, instead of always before it.
Effects and transitions
New Spiral transition, a "No Transition" option, and a spin direction for Radial and Spiral.Pattern overlays can be rotated and moved, and their colours now match the colour picker.Ghost and Grow now react to the song in the live preview.A datamosh cut no longer blurs the rest of the video.
